Speakers include York Chang, artist and chief counsel, Service Employees International Union Local 1000; Robert Karimi, interactive storyteller, writer/producer, and interdisciplinary conceptual artist; and Jolie Chea, UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellow in Comparative Literature at UC Riverside.
The event will include visual presentations of undergraduate research for AAS 19, “100 Years of Protests at UCLA.”
This panel is part of Refugee Re/Enactments, a series of activities that remembers and revives the history of social and political engagement at UCLA. The event is organized by the UCLA Asian American Studies Department and co-sponsored by the UCLA Asian American Studies Center, the UCLA Center for Southeast Asian Studies, and the CSRC.
